About the Daivi Shakti CD
Vedic Devata Productions presents the first of its Vedic Mantra Therapy CDs performed by Westerners, featuring the ancient science and art of Vedic Classical Devotional Song. This CD is beyond entertainment as it has been found by listeners to be therapeutic and healing. It features the Ancient Vedic Sanskrit language that is the mother of all languages, and vibrates at a primordial level of life close to what Modern Quantum Physics has identified as the Unified Field of all the Laws of Nature, and what ancient Vedic Science identifies as the Veda, a field of Pure Self-interacting Consciousness.
Consciousness is all that there is, and sits at the basis of every grain of manifest creation. All matter and energy emerge from this field that is silently present fundamentally in all forms of manifest creation. Therefore, many listeners find their awareness enters a deep meditative experience while listening, that promotes inner harmony, nourishment, and peace. These specific traditional ancient texts enliven attunement to the universal power of that Cosmic Administrator known as Mother Divine, the Divine Feminine that is naturally nourishing to life. In addition to its spiritually uplifting and therapeutic values, this Daivi Shakti CD also provides an excellent teaching supplemental tool with the PDF file of the Sanskrit texts and transliterations, allowing listeners to sing along and enjoy the enhanced bliss of Vedic Devotional Songs.
These divine songs have a remarkable power and ability to nourish and uplift the heart and consciousness toward a state of complete unity. They are always nourishing, but especially fulfilling when sung during the Nine Days of Mother Divine according to the Vedic Calendar, which occur in the spring and fall of every year.
These delightful and divine melodies and texts are derived from Vedic pujas and yagyas; they are chanted and sung in Sanskrit with English transliterations, so that you as a listener may sing along and learn them yourself with the lead singer/teacher. The songs are sung in the oral tradition known as guru-shishya-parampara, with teacher and student chorus alternating, so that listeners may easily learn and sing along. There is no substitute for a good teacher; however, this CD provides an excellent teaching supplemental tool to learning to pronounce, sing and enjoy the bliss of Vedic Devotional Songs.
Instrumentation has been limited to the customary use of drone and minimal percussion; using traditional acoustic instruments to encourage maximum purity of intonation along with perfection in pronunciation.
The Daivi Shakti CD is Meditation Music in its purest form that is Healing Music for several reasons.
The ancient Vedic Sanskrit text is the mother of all languages and therefore lies close in its manifestation to the level of what Quantum Physics refers to as the Unified Field of all the Laws of Nature, a field of Self-interacting pure consciousness and intelligence that is a field of perfect balance; and is at the basis of every grain of creation. Also, it is performed by teacher and students both of whom practice a powerful meditation technique to enliven their own Consciousness as well as that of listeners. Chanted and sung in the Kirtan style of call and response by teacher and students allows listeners to easily learn Kirtan and sing along with the CD using the PDF file provided on this website, of Sanskrit text and English transliteration. Apart from Kirtan, these Vedic chants also fall into the category of Classical Indian Music known as Bhajans, or Devotional Song. There are traditional Vedic Sanskrit hymns known as stotram, to Durga, Laxmi, and Saraswati, the three aspects of Devi or Mother Divine, the feminine universal Cosmic Administrator that nourishes, uplifts, and promotes growth.
Daivi Shakti was recorded and produced during Nava Ratri, the autumn Nine Days of Mother Divine festival in the Vedic Calendar, when the impulses of Devi are most naturally lively throughout nature.
Testimonials:
“I have listened to the beautiful recording of the teacher and girls singing Sanskrit songs, and I found it enjoyable and very settling to listen to. From the viewpoint of Sanskrit, it’s technically accurate, much like a recording that would emerge from some ashram high in the Himalayas. I recommend it, and I personally plan to listen to it again and again.”
— Tom Egenes, Ph.D, Professer of Sanskrit
“There was a time when I
lost both my mother and my fiance to cancer and a car accident within a two week
period. I sank into a deep depression. I listened to the Daivi Shakti Cd daily
in my car while driving to work. It effectively uplifted me and nourished my
mind-body-spirit. With its feminine nourishing power it healed my emotional
heart, while helping to neutralize the loss of the two important women in my
life. I highly recommend it.” — Robert Chalmers, DDS
About the Vedic Devata
In the tradition of ancient Vedic Science, there are five main Devata or cosmic administrators, five fundamental structures of the administration of Natural Law. They are known as the pancha Devata. The Sanskrit term Daivi Shakti represents one of these. She is the organizing power of that cosmic intelligence or administrator of Natural Law known as Mother Divine. She is said to nourish all aspects of creation. The three traditional aspects of Mother Divine—Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati—are always said to be together. Durga is the energy and power value, Lakshmi is the nourishing and wealth-giving value, while Saraswati is the knowledge and wisdom value.
The Vedic Literature states: “For eternity, there is nothing other than that one exalted, supreme sovereign Mother Divine, the source of creation—supreme creative intelligence in her magnanimity, supreme invincibility, totality, pure potentiality—the source of everything—the end result of the analysis of the Veda. (Durga Saptashatj 10.5)
